ROCKAWAY, Henrietta - Putnam

Mrs. Henrietta Rockaway died on Dec. 16, after a long illness, at the family residence on E. Washington St. She was born in Hanover, Germany, Sept. 21, 1825, and came to this country when a young girl. She was married to John C. Rockaway in Pennsylvania, and five children--four sons and a daughter--survive her. She was beloved by a large circle of acquaintances on account of her kind disposition being ever ready to lend assistance in cases of sickness and distress. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon. Dr. Martin officiating[?] and the remains were interred at Forest Hill Cemetery.
